Inspector of the Year
Monday, December 05, 2005 Nampa, ID: HouseMaster®, the oldest and most experienced home inspection franchise system in North America, named Philip McOmber of Nampa its 2005 Inspector of the Year. Awarded at the company’s annual conference in Colorado Springs in October, McOmber has been inspecting homes out of HouseMaster’s Nampa office since 2000.
McOmber was selected from a pool of nominees from HouseMaster’s 370 franchise offices across North America. The award is given to an inspector who shows excellent inspection and reporting skills. Says Boise-area director Kathryn Pierson, "Phil has been an invaluable asset to our office. His professional demeanor and experience comforts and assures home buyers, sellers, and Realtors alike during the home inspection process."
McOmber maintains his ICBO Building Inspector certification, has an Associate of Applied Science in Building Technology degree, received his certification from the National Institute of Building Inspectors in 2001, and is a member of the Idaho Association of Building Officials.

In addition to serving as senior inspector for the local HouseMaster franchise, McOmber is also integral to the hiring and training of new inspectors, performs new construction inspections, and has served as an expert witness in real estate claims.
