LA BOXING Signs 29th Franchise Agreement In Austin, Texas
3rd Franchise Sold in Texas
February 27, 2006 – COSTA MESA, CA – LA BOXING Franchise Corporation, a fast-growing health and fitness franchise designed to change the way men and women experience conditioning, weight loss and healthy living, announced the signing of its 29th franchise agreement with the Watson Group, David and Debbie Watson and David’s brother Paul Watson, for Austin, Texas. David Watson is the president of Watson Investigation Services, Inc., located in Austin, and his brother Paul operates and manages a construction trenching business in Las Vegas, Nevada. They plan to open their LA BOXING gym in early summer of 2006.
“When Debbie and I moved from California to the Austin area, we did not recognize how great the growing need was for a new and exciting gym facility. It was just the same collection of gyms that promote the same boring exercise routines. It wasn’t until we began looking for a gym to work out that we realized the lucrative benefits of owning an LA BOXING franchise. I immediately called my brother, Paul, in Las Vegas, and told him about LA BOXING and the rest is history.”
“I was able to watch the progress of the new Las Vegas LA BOXING gym since I live here and was sold on the proven track record of success and the commitment to a quality fitness program,” added Paul.
“We are excited to have signed our first franchise agreement in Austin where the fitness market is thriving,” said Anthony Geisler, CEO and president. “Because of the Watsons’ interest in health and fitness, their LA BOXING gym will perfectly complement their combined business experience. They plan to open multiple LA BOXING gyms in the Greater Austin area.”
The next step is to find the right location in Austin for the gym. The LA BOXING real estate department will work with the franchisee to find a location and to negotiate a lease.
Carl Kosnar, Managing Partner of The Kosnar Group, franchise development consultants, said, “LA BOXING’s business format franchise system is excellent and offers its franchisees a proven business support system with step-by-step guidelines to operate a successful LA BOXING gym. Our support personnel, both on-site and at corporate headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA, will guide the Watsons through every phase of opening their gym from site selection to the layout of the facility to providing an unparalleled training program.”

Included in our staff of instructors are professional fighters such as Genaro "Chicanito" Hernandez and many others. We''ve also trained numerous other professional fighters. However, the vast majority of our members are women who are interested in a cardio workout and enjoying the benefits of our fitness training program.”
Potential LA BOXING franchisees are required to pay a $25,000 franchise fee which is included in the $93,400 to $103,050 range of capital needed to get started. Location options range from retail strip shopping centers to freestanding commercial buildings and can even be placed in office campus areas. Absolutely no previous boxing, kickboxing, training or health and fitness experience is necessary to qualify for an LA BOXING franchise.
