Pizza Patron Introduces Dipping Sauces
January 14, 2006 - Pizza Patrón, long committed to serving quality pizzas to the Hispanic community, will have dipping sauces available in all 52 locations by February 2006. Patrón Dippers are available in three flavors: Ranch, Spicy Ranch and Salsa Ranchera and cost $.50 per two and a half ounce serving.
Salsa Ranchera and Spicy Ranch are made using authentic Herdez® products, one of the most well-known and widely-respected brands in Mexico. Herdez salsa is the number one brand of imported salsa consumed in the United States today.
“At the heart of our brand is our desire to connect with the cultural values and hearts of our Latino customers in everything we do. Using Herdez is another small way for us to reinforce the commitment we have to our core customer,” said Ernesto Hernandez, Pizza Patrón’s director of operations.
Pizza Patrón was founded by Antonio Swad in 1986. Since franchising began in March 2003, the brand has gone from four locations to 141, either open or under development. Pizza Patrón features fun and festive carryout-only pizza stores that are community based in Spanish speaking or predominately Hispanic neighborhoods and recently added its first dine-in location in May 2005. All pizza dough is made fresh throughout the evening; no preservatives are added or needed. As well, the sauce is prepared fresh in the stores from crushed Roma tomatoes and only 100 percent mozzarella is used. Whole and half pizzas are offered at prices as low as $4.99 for a large pizza with cheese and one topping and $3.49 for the same half pizza. A large “La Patrona” pizza with everything is only $6.99.
