HouseMaster® Joins IFA in Support of Veterans

Wednesday, March 15, 2006HouseMaster has committed to giving back to the military community by offering a 10% discount to qualified Veterans interested in purchasing a franchise. By joining VetFran, a program sponsored by the International Franchise Association that is designed to ease Veterans'' entry into mainstream business, HouseMaster becomes one of more than 150 other companies committed to supporting the troops who have served our country.

"What better way to give back to the men and women of the military than by helping them to succeed in business?" says Kathleen Kuhn, president and CEO of HouseMaster. "Franchising is a perfect fit for Veterans because they understand the value of following the plan. Some of HouseMaster's most successful franchisees are Veterans."

Through VetFran, IFA's Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative, franchisors contribute a percentage of the franchise fee toward the initial investment a franchisee is required to make. VetFran has the support of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Small Business Administration. Currently more than 250 Veterans have acquired franchises through the VetFran program, with 140 additional sales pending.
